Magnolia with snow heart and a hidden extra!

Helllloooooo!

Hope you're all well.

Not been on for a couple of weeks - even though I promised to be back soon!  Had so, so much going on it's just been a bit mad, to say the least.  Nothing like getting my head stuck into making a Magnolia card to take my mind off things though - so that's what I've been doing!

I thought I would have a proper go at trying to make a Christmas card.  I've made a couple of others but I'm just not that into them.  Don't know why.  Anyway, here's my little Magnolia Tilda Christmas creation - with a hidden twist - and I really hope you like it:

I've brought Magnolia to life using Promarkers and used Snowtex from Live and Love Crafts (LLC) for her little snow heart.  I have also used Snowtex on the flowers, which are of course from Wild Orchid Crafts (WOC), just like the ribbon and lace too.  The gorgeous blue background is from Kanban and of course, I just had to buy loads of it.  You know what, I'm sure all my money goes on things for my card making!  The pearls and sparkly bits are from my stock and I really can't remember where the frosty berries are from.  Head and sieve spring to mind!

The front of my card is decorated with a carefully tied organza bow, including little bells, and a handwritten tag.

As you can see in the first picture, the front is nicely finished off with a tied cinnamon stick - which holds a little secret for those long, cold winter nights ahead.......

A hidden hand written recipe for Mulled Wine, which will warm you up from head to toe and give you a wonderful glow.  Well, it does for me!  Not only does the cinnamon stick give you the recipe but it also tells you how to prepare and serve it.  What could be better when Jack Frost is nipping at your nose and toes?

I've used the folding panel inside the card to include a little pocket containing a removable label to write all those wonderful Christmas wishes on:

If I can get my act together and correctly do the links, I am going to enter my card in the following challenges:

Hopefully I've done them right!  By all means leave a comment and I hope you like my card.

Well, that's me for now as I'm absolutely shattered and I'm sure I need glasses as my eyes feel like they're falling out of my head!  Let's press the publish button and see what happens ......

Hugs to you all

Forever PINK!

Hello everyone!

Well, it's cold and blustery outside so what better excuse to sit and do my cards and blog.  What rubbish!!!  As if I needed an excuse - I'm just totally addicted!!  Love it! :)

That 'C' word is just horrible for anyone and even in this day and age, people really panic when they hear the word.  You never ever forget when someone you love so, so much tells you they have it - it's just so awful for everyone involved.  Anyway, thankfully there is so much being done to try and fight against this disease and I just wanted to do my tiny little bit and make something pretty in PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness month (October).

Here is my Forever PINK card and it certainly is a little bit pink!

I created it using three different Magnolia Tilda stamps to accompany the words FAITH, HOPE and LOVE.  I think these words say so much and they are also tattooed on my lovely best friend's foot too!  Yes, really!  I have actually drawn and cut out the lettering, which is no easy task and I am definitely going to invest in some alphabet dies to make my life a little bit easier.  Still, I enjoy it so I'm not moaning - much!  I used Bazzill card for all the letters and think they came out quite well.

I've used Magnolia Tilda holding a heart for the FAITH part and a pink breast cancer ribbon for the dot above the i.  For HOPE,  Magnolia Tilda holding a daisy seemed a nice choice and they are all coloured with Promakers.

The papers I've used are from Fancy Pants, Authentique and Bazzill card is also used.  I'm really in love with Marianne Creatable Anja dies at the moment and the oval ones are in the background too.

For the LOVE section, I felt Magnolia holding her teddy was the most obvious and they are coloured using Promarkers too.  I've handwritten the 'always and forever' sentiment using my pink Staedtler pen.  I just love writing my own sentiments as you definitely have more freedom.  I've used pink organza ribbon for the pretty bow and beautiful pink flowers all from that wonderful and well know place called WOC.  The little beaded flowers are by Paper Cellar.

Below is a view from the side of my Forever PINK card and you can also see how the inside has been decorated, again using pink but this time with beautiful big flowers too.

I am hopefully going to enter my card into the following challenges:

Well, I guess that's me for now but I will no doubt be back soon - very soon!  Have a lovely day everyone.
Big hugs

Magnolia Witch Halloween card

Well a big 'HELLO'.  This is my first ever blog so here goes .....

I have spent quite a bit of time creating this beautiful Halloween card.  I covered the card using Wild Rose Studio Lilac Mist paper, which are incredibly pretty and are all the colours I love too.  Other papers used include First Edition Dreamcatcher. Doilies have been aged using Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink.  The witches hat I drew by hand, cut out then decorated with lilac ribbon, studding and a small piece of hand-coloured and sewn denim patchwork.  The web on the hat was drawn using Pro-Marker's Metallic pens.  I drew the cat and cut him/her out and the same with batty-bat then drew the pumpkins and coloured them using Pro-Markers too.  The little broom I created from bits of wood in my own stock and the spider is a cute little thing made from my own stock too.  I have hand written the 'bibbidi-bobbidi-BOO!

The ever beautiful Magnolia Witch has been brought to life using Pro-Markers and Sakura Gelly-Roll pens.  I really do love creating cards using Magnolia Tilda.  She's just adorable.  My card was finished off using adorable Wild Orchid Crafts flowers with corner and flourish dies too.

The inside of the card has been decorated using cheese cloth, die cut tags, hand-drawn pumpkin and handmade wand.

I hope you like my Halloween creation and I am going to try and attempt to enter it into the below Halloween challenges:-

Thanks for looking and feel free to leave any comments.

Big hugs for now...
